Great idea and I really cannot wait to see the finished film. You are right to think this could be a mini series. The drama and comedy that went on behind the scenes of Ice Capades is a book in itself, such as the time a group of the boys and Bobby Spect got on a downtown bus in St. Louis in full drag only to be sitting directly across from Rosemary Stewart, of at the Fine Party when Joe Marshall came flying out of the kitchen into the ballroom on roller skates with the toes removed and did Swan Lake on point.
Ok, enough said.
Ted
Ted,
Thanks for taking the time to write. I am thrilled to hear your account via your post. I also can’t wait to see the finished film! I have had the honor of interviewing Joe Marshall and I know that comedy runs in his blood.
I have learned a lot but the stories I “know” fill a thimble compared to the skaters who lived the life.
My uncle’s collection and knowledge, along with the encouragement of folks like you, continue to inspire me and I am moving forward. It is a great story and I feel lucky to be able to share it!
