Rise — up to see the movie

My uncle Roy Blakey and I are planning to attend the movie here in MN. He had a friend on the plane, and since I am becoming intimate with Roy and his archive of images from the history of the ice shows, I feel very close with this story.
The film is a wonderful tribute to these skaters who lost their lives just as they were going to show the world their best.
I am not including the “Rise” chapter of skating history and loss in my documentary “The Fabulous Ice Age” because it is not directly about the history of the ice shows although their tragic death impacted everyone in the skating world and therefore also the shows.>
